Brace Digital are now an Umbraco Silver Partner

It is with great pleasure to announce that we have now renewed our partnership with Umbraco and are now Umbraco Silver Partners. You may recall last year, we wrote a blog post about being an Umbraco Certified Partner, but in fact, we have been an Umbraco Certified Partner since November 2017!

Umbraco have recently re-structured their partnership programme into different tiers which means the higher partner tier you are in, the higher discount you get on additional credits to spend with Umbraco. Credits are used as currency for things like training courses, tickets for events or Umbraco products (Umbraco Forms, Umbraco Commerce etc.). Should an organisation wish to be an Umbraco Partner, the larger the team, the more it makes sense to be a higher tier so there is a greater discount on the credits received.

Frankly, the only difference between Silver, Gold and Platinum partnerships is the amount that you pay towards the subscription.

Understanding Umbraco Silver Partnership

Before delving into the steps for becoming an Umbraco Silver Partner, let's start with a clear understanding of what it entails. Umbraco Silver Partnership is a tier within Umbraco's partner program. This program is designed to recognise and reward agencies, developers, and companies who are committed to delivering exceptional Umbraco solutions.

Key benefits of becoming an Umbraco Silver Partner include:

  1. Official Recognition: Your organisation gains official recognition from Umbraco as a Silver Partner. This recognition can enhance your reputation and credibility within the Umbraco community.
  2. Dedicated Support: You'll receive personalised support from Umbraco, including access to dedicated resources and priority assistance.
  3. Marketing and Promotion: Umbraco helps promote your organisation by featuring you on their website and through various marketing channels. This can increase your visibility and attract potential clients.
  4. Training and Knowledge Sharing: Access to exclusive training sessions, workshops, and knowledge sharing opportunities that can further enhance your Umbraco skills.
  5. Exclusive Access: As a Silver Partner, you'll receive early access to Umbraco updates, features, and products, enabling you to stay ahead of the competition.

Steps to Becoming an Umbraco Silver Partner

Achieving Silver Partner status is not an overnight endeavour, but with dedication and effort, it's entirely attainable. Here are the key steps to get you there:

1. Master Umbraco

To become an Umbraco Silver Partner, you need to be proficient in Umbraco CMS. Make sure your team members are well-versed in Umbraco's features, functionalities, and best practices. It's essential to have a strong portfolio of successful Umbraco projects that showcase your expertise.

2. Become an Umbraco Certified Partner

Before you can become a Silver Partner, you need to be an Umbraco Certified Partner. This means meeting Umbraco's initial requirements, including having at least one certified developer on your team. The certification process involves training and an exam, which you'll need to pass.

3. Build a Strong Umbraco Team

Having a team of skilled Umbraco developers, designers, and project managers is crucial. Invest in training and encourage your team to continuously improve their Umbraco skills. A strong, dedicated Umbraco team will be an asset when it comes to delivering high-quality projects.

4. Deliver Outstanding Projects

Your agency should have a track record of delivering exceptional Umbraco projects. Umbraco evaluates the quality and success of the projects you've completed. Focus on building websites that not only meet but exceed client expectations.

5. Meet Silver Partnership Requirements

Umbraco has specific requirements for Silver Partnership, which may include:

  • A certain number of Umbraco Certified developers on your team.
  • A commitment to the Umbraco brand and values.
  • Demonstrated commitment to growing the Umbraco community.
  • A paid annual subscription

Make sure your organisation meets all the necessary requirements, which can evolve over time.

6. Apply for Silver Partnership

Once you believe your organisation meets the requirements, you can apply for Silver Partnership through the Umbraco Partner Portal. Umbraco will evaluate your application, and if everything aligns, you'll be granted Silver Partner status.

7. Maintain Your Partnership

Silver Partnership is not a one-time achievement. To maintain this status, you'll need to continue delivering exceptional Umbraco projects, stay updated on Umbraco's latest features, and actively contribute to the Umbraco community.

Conclusion

Becoming an Umbraco Silver Partner is a significant milestone for any organisation passionate about Umbraco. It represents a commitment to excellence, dedication to client success, and a desire to contribute to the Umbraco community.
