Some of the Brace Digital team will be heading to Umbraco’s hometown of Odense, Denmark on the 11th June to attend the Umbraco conference, Codgarden 2024. The event is a significant gathering for the Umbraco community, bringing together experts, enthusiasts, and professionals from around the globe. The team have been to Codegarden a few times previously but not for a few years so we’re really looking forward to it.

Why We're Going

Codegarden provides a unique environment for Umbraco experts, like us at Brace Digital to dive deep into the latest Umbraco features and best practices. It's a place to share knowledge, challenges, and solutions with peers from across the globe. Our attendance is part of our commitment to staying at the forefront of Umbraco advancements and delivering the best possible solutions to our clients.

Meeting up with friends

Networking is a core component of the Codegarden experience. However, an Umbraco event is a lot more informal than this. We see Umbraco events as a chance to meet up with friends who we’ve known for many years. We can have technical (geeky!) conversations of course but its great to catch up on a personal level and share the odd hug!

Workshops and Collaborative Events

Codegarden is not just about listening but also participating. The workshops scheduled for this year are designed to be hands-on, providing practical skills and deeper understanding of Umbraco's capabilities. Whether it's diving into code or brainstorming during a collaborative session, these activities are perfect for sharpening skills and making new connections.

Keynote Speakers and Sessions

Over the last few years, Umbraco has begun to mix the speakers at Codegarden with experts from both inside and outside of the Umbraco. This has been a really fresh and interesting approach. The speaker lineup this year is impressive. The sessions this year cover advanced Umbraco techniques including specific case studies from some interesting scenarios. There is also a large focus on the new Umbraco version 14 which has been developed with a new back office. So we’ll be interested to see whats coming next and to understand how it can benefit our clients.

Culture

Finally, we’re big fans of Odense and of Denmark in general. Odense is a beautiful town with many places to eat and drink. Denmark is a fantastic country and the people are lovely.

Final Thoughts

We certainly can’t wait and we are already picturing that welcome high five as we walk into the event, followed by a delicious cup of coffee made by the onsite baristas.

Be sure to watch this space for our review of Codegarden 2024 after the event.

Super tak!
