About the role
We're looking to find a talented and enthusiastic Junior Developer to join our team! This role is fully remote, as is all of our team, so the successful applicant must be an excellent communicator.
This role is multi-faceted and varied so we're looking for somebody with a can do attitude who is keen to learn new skills across the agency.
We're based in Chester so, the applicant would be close by for occasional face to face meetings.

What you'll be doing
- Backend development - fixing defects and implementing enhancements on client websites
- Implementing frontend code into Umbraco websites in Razor files
- Frontend development converting designs to website code
- Testing other developers work
- Auditing client's websites paying attention to security, page speed/performance and accessibility
- Helping clients with Umbraco CMS queries and issues
- Communicate with internal staff and clients to deliver tasks on time and on budget

Skills that you should have
- Web development experience - minimum of 2 years experience
- Experience developing with Asp.Net (C#) and .Net Core - minimum of 1 years experience
- Frontend development skills
- Developing SASS/LESS or other frontend pre-processors
- Experience of developing valid and accessible HTML
- Understanding of page speed intricacies
- Cross browser testing and solving compatibility issues
- Experience using source control and industry standard branching methodologies
- Excellent problem solver
- Excellent communicator; this is essential for us as we all work remotely
- Testing experience
- Strong focus on providing customer happiness
Skills that would be an added bonus
- Experience developing and upgrading websites developed with Umbraco CMS
- Digital agency experience
- Developing using frontend frameworks such as React JS and Vue.Js
- Umbraco ecommerce/integrating into payment gateways experience
- Knowledge of SQL and databases
- Experiencing using and building continuous integration solutions
- Experience developing and integrating to APIs
- Requirements gathering and documenting
- Carrying out client training sessions
